The collection of texts across and beyond – A transmediale Reader on Post-digital Practices, Concepts, and Institutions analyzes today’s post-digital conditions for critical media practices, spanning across and beyond the analog and the digital, the human and the nonhuman. The contributions also look across and beyond the field of media art, staking out new paths for understanding and working in the transversal territories between theory, technology, and art. Divided into the thematic sections Imaginaries, Interventions, and Ecologies, the book is not a document of the festival itself but a standalone volume that explores the ongoing themes of transmediale. Media theorist and researcher Michael Dieter will moderate a discussion of the volume's main themes along with the contributing editors and artists.

across and beyond – A transmediale Reader on Post-digital Practices, Concepts, and Institutions is developed as a collaboration between transmediale and Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton.

Presented in cooperation with Winchester School of Art.
