Last year multimedia projects were shown for the first time at the VideoFest. The exhibition was surprisingly successful. This year, too, alongside staged presentations, we are show­ ing a selection of 20 individual works in a space reserved for this purpose, and where the viewers can move about freely among the projects being displayed. For the selection, only those projects with CD-ROM, CD-i or Floppy Disk information-carrying sources came in question. The second criterion was Internet-related projects - either officially submitted or found during our net research. The selecting took on a new dimension thanks to direct compu­ ter access. Emphasized in this selection of artistic-experimental-innova­ tive works is a creative use of multimedia respecting the qualities of the medium, and the development of new forms. An underlying goal of the exhibition is to present the current state of development in multimedia productions and their diverse forms of expression.
