Dynamism and changes of perspective, structures and elements of surprise: Runners is an unusual computer animation which provides an indication of the direction the genre could move in if it were not dominated by smoothly polished aesthetics and commercial exploitation. While the direction of Runners is rooted in film, it is also related to constructivist painting and anesthetics.
