May 2014: two unarmed Palestinian youths are killed by an Israeli soldier in the occupied West Bank. At the request of human rights organization Defense for Children International, the incident was investigated by Forensic Architecture, an institute for advanced architecture and media research at Goldsmiths College in London, in collaboration with sound artist Lawrence Abu Hamdan. An audio-ballistic analysis of the recorded shots was used to clarify whether rubber bullets or live ammunition had been fired. Abu Hamdan’s video draws up the scenario of a tribunal that judges over this serial sound of killing.
